It's not secret that I have a love for visiting new and interesting places on Second Life, and I honestly can say that there are some places that I go back to again and again and one of those is :+: Studio SIdhe :+: . I first of all was introduced to the gorgeous both in body and spirit Faery Sola on Plurk. Ah wonderful Plurk I can not begin to tell you the amount of incredible people that I have had the privilege of meeting thanks to it... anyway I digress as per usual.

I was first introduced to Faery and we started chatting to each, and soon after was taken to her shop, if you can even call it that as I think it's an experience. I had never ever heard of :+: Studio SIdhe :+: before that, but I am so so glad I was introduced to it. As soon as you land you can pick up on the amazing creativity the flows from this ingenious woman. Even more so, since she has done the new build, which I didn't think was possible. Faery's store has been designed around a theme of fae, which you can tell from the moment you get there. From Faery's flickr page - "Studio Sidhe's focus has always been on creating an atmosphere that to our mind, embodies what SL is all about... imagination & creativity."

:+: Studio SIdhe :+: is a great place to hang out with friends, take photographs (personally one my favourites, she has amazing pose balls scattered everywhere), and explore. Oh did I also mention it's a great place to SHOP! :+: Studio SIdhe :+: has a large variety of items for purchase and I think you will be amazed at the diverse selection. It has everything from...

*Ladies and men's accessories
*Ladies wear
*Poses
*Wings
*Swings
*Chess
*Arches
*Oublieltte
*Wall (You have to try it)
*Other Stuff.

I don't want to give to much away, as I really think you need to go and visit and explore for yourself. As there is just so much to do and explore here.

TP: :+: Studio SIdhe :+:

I use one of :+: Studio SIdhe :+: poses as one of my default poses and it works a treat. I recently also used another one in a competition that I received quiet a few compliments on my posing. I love finding different poses to try and stand out and I have found quiet a few to use from here. I also use :+: Studio SIdhe :+: Multi Pose Stairs in a heap of the photos I do. They are a great staple item to have in your inventory that I promise you will use over and over.

Talking of photography if you would like to you can share any of the photographs you take at :+: Studio SIdhe :+: you can do so by joining the Flickr group:

www.flickr.com/groups/studio_sidhe/

:+: Studio SIdhe :+: I have to mention has the most gorgeous jewelry, and I just used a piece for my Modavia casting photos. This is a stunning bracelet and you really can not appreciate the detail that goes into it, till you see it on your own hand. It's simply stunning! I personally think Faery pours her heart and soul into her creations and it shows.

So make sure you stop by and check out the amazing store that is :+: Studio SIdhe :+:
Make sure to take some extra lindens... ooo and your camera!

Sleep is sooooo over rated!

The past few weeks since I did a week to week catch up with you all, has just been insane for me. I have hardly had time to stop and let it all sink in. I have had a blast doing it and can not wait to see what the next few weeks have in store as there is heaps of fantastic competitions and casting calls happening at the moment. As if the last few weeks have not been crazy enough. I also have a mile long list of blogs sitting in my drafts box that I just need to add the final touches to and I will post away. It is amazing what a bout of insomnia allows you to accomplish.

Two massive things that have happened to me over the last few weeks in regards to my modeling career on SL. One is that I have been added to EWING International as a staff member. I can not put into words what this means to me. I can still feel my jaw hitting the hard wood of my desk as I spoke with Tiffany Dragonash about this. You could not get the smile off my face for quiet some time. I respect and look up to Tiffany completely as a model for her skills and her ability, dedication and ongoing work that she does. I sometimes wonder if there is a harder working model on SL.

When I first started modeling, EWING seemed completely out of my depths and I looked on in utter awe of their amazing shows, perfect models and talented staff members. I only dreamt of ever completing their model training and doing so without making a fool of myself. I never ever in my wildest dreams thought that one day I would get the privilege to be able to work amongst these elite group of people. I am even more excited if it is at all possible because there are so many amazing things happening at EWING at the moment! You can check their blog to keep up with whats going on... and you will want to do that!

EWING FASHION AGENCY

The Second just amazing thing that has happened to me over the last few weeks, is that I was asked to put in an application to AVENUE, and after doing so was asked to join their simply breathtaking pool of models. When I was IM'd and dropped an application I nearly died and honestly asked where they sure they had the right person LOL. I was honestly and utterly shocked. I was even sure once I had submitted the application it was going to be knocked back.
I am just so so thrilled to be asked to join the model pool, and when I saw the names in the group I was even more flattered. I can not wait to do my first show for them, and I hope to do them proud! I really want to thank everyone that made this possible, I hope to do you proud!

AVENUE really is an amazing premier creative agency that offers so much. Everything from,

AVENUE Magazine
AVENUE Models
AVENUE Models Academy
AVENUE Studio

AVENUE Magazine is a monthly magazine published by AVENUE Inc of Second Life. This magazine is the Ultimate Fashion & Lifestyle Magazine that covers fashion, architecture, business, entertainment and the arts. You can read it online here.

AVENUE is the Official Partner of the Merovingi Fashion Awards 2009, Which is so exciting! You can check out all the information on the website.

You can check out AVENUE at

website : http://www.avenuesl.com/

Or

Blog: http://avenuemodels.wordpress.com/

On these two sites, you can find everything you could possibly want to know about AVENUE. It really is amazing to show how far AVENUE has come, as when it started in 2007 with just 3 staff, that's right 3! AVENUE now manages over 130 models and staff. I am sure they will continue to change the face of the SL Fashion industry as they have done so for the past 2 years! So looking forward to this!

I have also done some major shopping, some shows that like I said are in my mile long list to publish and I finally finished my house! I really want to do a blog on my house, as I just adore it! So now to a round up of some of the major happening's lately everywhere else.

Elegance SL has concluded with a fantastic finale, with three gorgeous models chosen as the top three. I have to say it was a great pleasure to enter into and participate in this contest. All the models were just lovely and I had a ball. I loved how we had to style our own outfits and we really got a chance to show off our abilities at putting together a complete look. I was amazed at the looks some models put together, the detail and overall look of all the models was just outstanding! They really amazing at what they do, their creativity shone!

FIRST NIGHT:
The Best of Italian's Elegance SL Competition began with a great show with the theme of "Sex And The City," and with a theme like that you know it was totally hot! Elegance SL was all about the models sense of styling, their taste, their concept of "Elegance" and how they applied it in different circumstances. The 15 contestants for this round were...

After a tough competition the models selected to go through to the finale were.

TOP 5 WERE:

Nemi McCoy

Memole Giha

THIRD NIGHT:
When the Best of Italian's Elegance SL Competition got into it's third and final day of selections, I looked at the contestants for that day, I thought this was going to be tough. The theme for the third night was "Breakfast at Tiffany's,". 15 contestants walked the stage to blow the lid off and show SL what true elegance really is! The fantastic contestants for this night were...

Chamonix Boudreaux
Livia Mastroianni
Sabine Blackburn
SilviaX Johin
Sparkie Funizza
Sweetest Sands
Sweetsmiling Merlin
Tabata Jewell
Talia Lefavre
Tempest Rosca
Tiffany Dragonash
TK Waco
Toapz Saunders
Vanessa Knoller
Wenadrenia Soderstorm

TOP 5 WERE:
Tabata Jewell
Sabine Blackburn
Livia Mastroianni
Tk Waco
Toapz Saunders

FINALE:
So after the three first rounds we came to the finale, which some people may have thought was the easiest of all the themes, but I found it the most difficult. The finale took place on the 24th of April at 1:3-pm SLT. This time they didn't want us to follow a real suggestion, but we want to see all our own personality coming out from what we chose to wear. They really wanted us to show what "Elegant" was for us, both in an informal or a formal situation. So the theme was "YOU"!

The judges for this round was enough to make anyone nervous. The judges are some of the most recognized names in SL who have excelled in each of their various fields. We all wanted to do well and show why we had made it to the top 15. The judges were.

  • Annemarie Perenti (Owner of Best of Italian Style and Piazza Italia)
  • Dahlia Joubert (Model for Evane, NOCTURNE, Made in Italy Fashion, Elegance and Event Manager for Best of Italian Style)
  • Rusch Raymaker (Owner of AVENUE INC which is the umbrella company for AVENUE Models, AVENUE Magazine, AVENUE Models Academy, AVENUE Studio, and Stylissimo)
  • Frolic Mills (Owner of THE BEST OF SL MAGAZINE, THE BEST OF SL BOULEVARD, BOULEVARD MODEL AGENCY, MISS/MR VIRTUAL WORLD ORGANIZATION, and BOSL AWARDS)
  • Cherie Parker (Owner of Exclusive Studios)
  • Suzi Phlox (Co-owner of LeeZu Baxter Designs)
  • Dousa Dragonash (MBC News TV Reporter)
  • Queen Watanabe (Manager of Bogart's Dance Club and Shops)
  • Elettra Gausman (Owner of ORAGE Creations)
After a fantastic display of some amazing creations and styling let alone some sensational walks from some very talanted models they called us all on stage to announce the winners. I was so thrilled when they called out their names. These incredible girls totally rocked it, not only walking but showing everyone how talanted they are at styling! Congratulations to these talanted models... and congratulations to everyone who entered. I had a blast doing this and can not wait to see what Best of Italian comes up with next!

The Best of Italian's Elegance SL Competition has kicked off with a bang on April 13th at 1:30pm slt. The theme for the first night was "Sex And The City," and with a theme like that you know it was totally hot! There are 45 contestants who are waiting to blow the lid off and show SL how true elegance, fashion sense, and poise will count heavily in this competition. ELEGANCE SL is all about your sense of styling, your taste, your concept of "Elegance" and how you apply it in different circumstances.

Elegance SL will have three days of judging contestants and one grand finale. The three days will include 15 contestants per day the dates are April 13th, 16th, and 20th each will be held at 1:30pm slt. The grand finale, where the winner is chosen, will be April 24th at 1:30pm slt. There will be an assortment of themes per each event date, which will be very entertaining for the crowd.

I was luckily places in the first group with a fantastic bunch of models. The theme for the first night was "Sex And The City".

From the notecard - Sometimes eccentric and out of schemes, but always trendy, classy and sophisticated: this is how the main characters of one of the most viewed and appreciated tv series of all the times were. With this theme, we are not willing to watch you emulating Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte or Miranda – it is not about the show. We want you to show us how glamorous you can be if you had to go out for a drink&gossip afternoon to spend with your friends or for a relaxing walk in Central Park, and for an evening party in one of the most exclusive clubs of New York, where a formal attire is required but you can play with colours and accessories to gain extaravagant touches, and take out of you your chick-it spirit.

Prepare a casual and a formal outfit. Mix and matching is allowed and even encouraged. So I thought I would pose the outfits that I compiled here for you all to see. I had a blast doing this... and after tomorrow's final group I will do a wrap up pose about the whole competition before the finale.

Just a little shopping...

So I have been doing a little bit of shopping the last week and I thought I would share some of the gorgeous things I have brought. I really love to share it with people when I find something fantastic and I am always happy when I see you in world to let you know where I got something. So if you ever see me in there don't be afraid to ask.

BAIASTICE CRYSTAL SHOES:

These gorgeous babies will set you back L$850 a pair, but well well worth it I think. Baiastice Haute Couture is a store owned by Italian designer Sissy Pessoa. If you have not been there to check it out, you don't know what you are missing. I have attached a landmark below in case you need to go right away.

21 gorgeous colors.. something to go with any outfit you decide to wear. I personally got the crystal ruby seen in the photos here. I fell madly in love with these when I saw the beautiful red texture and the I had to buy as well the crystal white and rubelite ones as well. They are totally stunning and the detail in them is just amazing! I have feeling I will be going back to get some more of them. There are so many fantastic shoes at the back of store, including some stunning little flats.. hold on I better go back.

Check them out for yourself!

(:;S&S;:) UNDERARM BAG!

Amerie Spitteler owner of amerie's NAUGHTY created these glamorous yet so so sweet little bags. I picked 3 of them up, I couldn't get enough of them. You can find them at Spice&Sugar at the Koenji sim. Spice&Sugar is just another side of amerie's NAUGHTY.

This divine little bag comes in 5 colors...

Black
Green
Red
Violet
Pink

Each bag will set you back only L$100, that's right only L$100! The bag comes with a no animation, animation and underarm option which is great for mixing and matching perfectly with your outfits. My photo is not the best and you can't really see it, but there is a gorgeous charm on one end of the purse that is just so well detailed. I love the bow... and the black lace makes it just perfect for adding it to formal ensembles.

TP to gorgeous little bags!

INDYRA ORIGINALS La CAPITAINE BLACK.

Indyra Seigo of INDYRA ORIGINALS, COQUETTE NOIR & INDY & CO has put out this stunning little dress. When I saw this I thought it was cute, when I put it on I fell in love with it!

This amazing little outfit will cost you L$500, but again well worth it. It comes with..

Sleeveless cocktail dress
Jacket
Gloves
(Ribbon around waist included as well as rose on jacket)

There is a heap of different ways to wear this dress. It is available in three colors. Black, red and yellow. Really really gorgeous outfit, but what else do you expect from Indyra Seigo really?
There is also shoes just beside the vendor that look smashing with this dress, I brought them but they are not pictured in the photo. They are called Coquette Noir: Josephine: Noir. Well worth checking out while you are there. They only cost L$750 but you will be able to wear them over and over again.

Head on over to Indyra Originals: Clothing, Shoes & Accessories to have a look.

To on over to Indyra

Well thats it for me... I'll try and do another one in a few days. Goodness only knows I brought enough stuff to keep my busy for 6 months. Take care.

Bittersweet.....

Posted by Jennaa Loire | Posted in | Posted on 11:43 PM

So I think everyone knows by now I had a breakup on Second Life.. yea well blah is all I have to say to that! Even though it has honestly been a tough time for me.. it has been bittersweet with some of the most gorgeous, caring and amazing people cheering me up and being super supportive. I really would like to thank you all for being there and helping me out. You have no idea what it means to me, so honestly I thank you so much!

Second Life really has introduced me to some of the most incredible people, not only the creative genius types but also general everyday people who are down to earth, caring and honest. It has also shown me that there are some fruit loops out there, and not the yummy ones.

Feles Seitan and Halfpint Pennell have been lovely enough to pass me over some fantastic items from Bittersweet which is located @ Osa Menor. Her fantastic little gifts have made me smile and laugh like I haven't in quiet some time on Second Life. They have also brought me many happy an hour snapping away with my camera. Hence the photo above.

I am sitting in the gorgeous Bittersweet Breakup Beanbag which when you go to sit in it says "mope" instead of sit which made me giggle. The thing that I love most about this Breakup Beanbag is that it comes with a gallon of bittersweet brickle and a spoon to eat it with LOL!

When you load up the gallon of bittersweet brickle some quotes load up... now I was thinking these babies were going to be about pigging myself into oblivion but here is an example of one.
"My next boyfriend will be a model ... or an emo kitty with an accent, and money"! How awesome is that. Not only will these tub of amazing ice cream make your little avatar gauge itself silly, but it gives witty remarks to make you laugh and OMG you may ever cheer up a little. Besides that it's super comfy and looks amazing!

Beside me you can see an ever so detailed tray, this lovely piece is called the "The Breakup Tray"! This mod/copy tray of pick-me-ups shares bitter messages in chat with a click. Such as "I hear his new girl wears freebie skins." Or you can just repeatedly pound this baby if the breakup was especially bad. Because it comes mod, you can add your own messages. Simply edit the _quotes note card. And it's transfer ... perfect for a gift. It really is 36 prims of man-hating goodness. I love it to bits and it now sits beside my bathtub LOL.

You can see the entire Bittersweet line on SLX or in world by both Feles Seitan and Halfpint Pennell. This two lovely ladies items have brought a smile to my face and if you need some cheering up make sure you stop by Bittersweet!

Bittersweet is a Second Life store which offers gifts, goods and services to celebrate SLove…and the lack thereof. It's a collaboration with Halfpint Pennell and these two ladies have done an amazing job! There is everything from cakes, Easter gifts, furniture and gorgeous gifts. The sim which is Bittersweet @ Osa Menor is an incredible shopping stop.

TP TO BITTERSWEET:

You will find so much great stuff to look at and do at this place. Everything from...

Chachara Collection.
Bittersweet Bakery & Cafe (OMG the cutest cakes on SL I think).
Origami.
Indica Lane Photography.
AURBIERRE Art Studios.
Tink's Treasure Trove.
Diesel Works. (Some of the best poses on SL).
Bittersweet.
Oo Oo and some super cute nursery items if you have a baby!

There are also some fun things to do at the sim including fishing, a massive cupcake to much on to see if you win a prize and some fantastic photo taking spots. So what are you waiting for... go grab yourself something to celebrate you SL love... or lack there of ;)

You can also head on over to the Bittersweet Flickr page here to check out all the sensational items for sale.

Well I noticed today thanks to a little information from a gorgeous person that I had not included LE.LOOK! on my list of sites/blogs to visit. I was honestly shocked and quickly loaded up my page to see that they were correct, and much to my horror they were. How could I miss listing that.... I blame the amount of chocolate I have been eating lately. I don't know how that has anything to do with it, but that is my story and I am sticking to it.

I quickly headed over to the LE.LOOK! SIM to do some shopping and to gather some information about this one stop shopping destination. One major thing that I love about LE.LOOK! is their Stylist Search! While I was at the LE.LOOK! Sim I grabbed an entry form, but realized I was to late for this month, so hopefully they will do it again next month so I can enter LOL. I thought I would post some information about it here now so you can get an idea about the stylist search and you might want to think about entering next month as well. It's a fantastic opportunity to work with some of the best in SL!

EFA Graduation & One Amazing Photographer!

It's been a busy couple of days since I posted last and I really wanted to do this post before I got caught up with another frantic week tomorrow, and before I head off to do a little um shopping now LOL. EFA had their graduation show today for the March model, so lets start with that.

EWING GRADUATION:

Congratulations to the graduates of the Ewing Elite Model Training Class of March 2009.The graduates were welcomed to the SL fashion industry at 3.00pm SLT as they showed us their styles on the runway. They all were fabulous and I know we are going to be seeing alot more of them. I took some snapshots at the show of them walking, granted they are not the best due to my settings being set to low. Take a look though and their outfit descriptions are posted below.

Emmerald Clarity: Above is the outfit Emmerald chose to wear for her lingerie look. The description was written by her and was read out at the graduation while she walked. Congratulations again Emmerald, you were amazing!

Only the most confident of Ladies can pull off a Blacklace outfit like this! Admire the way the sheer stockings and long satin gloves hide just the right amount of skin. The soft black fabric of the corset, accented with embroidered white flowers is exquisite and the delightful accent of a bow at the back would be enough to make any woman feel sexy! Add a touch of black stone jewelery from Earthstones to complete the outfit!

MandyLeigh Sweetwater: Above is the gown MandyLeigh chose to wear for her formal look. The description was written by her and was read out at the graduation while she walked. Congratulations again Mandy, you rocked it!

Those around will be green with envy as you enter in the room in the Grecian Maxi dress from Casa del Shai. Along with the Bare Audrey by Stiletto Moody and Virginia Gardens Pearl Drop earrings from JCNY there is no doubt that heads will turn. Elegance and style are what this outfit is about.

Sabine Blackburn: Above is the outfit Sabine chose to wear for her smart business look. The description was written by her and was read out at the graduation while she walked. Congratulations again Sabine you were fantastic!

Sabine's smart business look is the "Bella Camicetta-white" from Pink Outfitters and the HighSkirt-Rosebud from Maitreya. The Jewelery is from YS-Roundie Set in Gold. The shoes are from a swiss designer called Joseph Gaus - the Gaus Shoes "Lady-Silver". The skin Sabine wears is Beauty Avatar-Ziva-Natural. Her hair is Lelutka-Ribbon-Platinum and eyes Redgrave-Christina Amber.

Congratulations again ladies!

ANGELAH TOKYO PHOTOS:

I was lucky enough the other day to book an appointment to have some photos taken by Angelah Tokyo. I was so thrilled to actually book a shoot with her as I was sure she would be booked up for weeks. So when we organized a time to meet up and take some photos I was sooooo excited.

I first came across Angelah's photo stream on flickr on one of my searching sprees. Which I do quiet alot, as I love seeing what all these creative geniuses come up with. You will always find something inspirational, creative or laugh worthy on flickr. I madly fell in love with Angelah's work and was amazed by the amount of detail that she puts into it let alone feeling. So I thought I would pose the photos here for you to see and judge for yourself. Or, you can always head over to Angelah's flickr and check out her mind blowing work.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/angelahtokyo/

I forgot to mention you can look Angelah up in world and she has all the information you need about her rates and how to contact her in her profile. She is a really lovely person and is always a real pleasure to talk to. So look her up and get some awesome photos done :)

Take care everyone

To be completely honest I am not sure how to start this blog, Second Life has not been the easiest for me this week personally, and I really want to thank everyone for helping me out.

A massive thank you goes out to my gorgeous friend Imani who has been my guiding light and has been there whenever I needed her this week. So to my gorgeous friend, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have been there the whole time and I really thank you. I'll buy you some new shoes ;) Now that I have that out the way... lets talk about what else has been happening.

Work wise and shopping wise Second Life has been great. So lets stick to that shall we lol.

After such a long time away from Second Life, I really tried to catch up on as much as I could. I still don't think I am caught up on everything, I don't think I ever will. One of my favourite feeds to look at is Fashion Feed of SL. Which you can find following the below link.

Fashion Feed Of SL

The thing I love about this feed, is that there is always something new to read, it's a great mixture of posts from all walks of bloggers and a fantastic easy to read layout. So if you have not checked it out yet, which I am pretty sure you would have.. I would head on over.

Starting back at EWING:

I started back as an intern at EWING and I am loving it. I have been doing this for a couple of months now and I can't get enough of it. The classes are fantastic and it is really interesting to see the students soak it all up and it's fantastic to see how keen they are.

The EFA course is fantastic and I can't recommend it enough, and it's not just because I am an intern there. Here is a brief rundown on what the course covers, but really head on over to the EFA blog and check out all the details for yourself. If you are even thinking about modeling as a career on SL or just wanting to take a step to bettering yourself, EWING is the place to go.

Graduation Shoot & Certification!!

Anyway the students who are attending at the moment, their graduation is coming up very soon. So I will make sure to do another post about that and let you know all about it. The models are doing so fantastic so far, I am going to be outta work!

TIMELESS RFL Clothing Fair.

I participated in the 2009 Relay for Life Clothing Fair doing two shows for ~TIMELESS~ AGENCY. I am so please to say as well that they kept me on as a model. I am so thrilled to be a part of this agency. When I started modeling it was one of my goals to get into this agency, so I am just so excited! The Timeless blog has everything from their partners, show slide shows and fantastic outfit that have been blogged.

You can check out the TIMELESS Agency blog here.. it's well worth the look.

One whole month ... I am in shopping withdrawl!

Posted by Jennaa Loire | Posted in | Posted on 11:16 PM

One month I went being away from Second Life and all it's glory. ONE MONTH! So I am sorry that it has been so long since my last post. I didn't mean for it to be... but sometimes real life gets in the way and no matter how hard you kick it, it does not move.

To let you know what happened and where I have been... as I am sure you are all so interested LOL. I went on a holiday to America and loved every moment of it, well except for customs. They didn't seem to like me very much at the start, but we soon got along swimmingly as soon as they let me go into the country! Someone could have warned me they yell at you if you don't have the right form! Please people if you are going over to America from a different country, make sure you have your BLUE FORM!

I loved America, I really did. Which shocked me as I did not think I was going to like it all. The country... not the people... the country! I visited LA, Vegas, Disneyland and some of the most amazing shopping places that I have ever seen in my life!

I freaked out at Hollywood I will totally admit that. They have these crazy people who try and get you to take a photo with them... and they are some scary people! I feel head over heels for cherry pie and never wanted to leave it's side. I can not wait to go back and see more of this fantastic country if they let me back in that is. I really want to thank Mig for looking after me while I was there, and I would have been totally lost without you xoxo.

Eventually after two weeks I came home to find my baby (My apple Mac wonder of the gods) broken. *cries*! So with great regret I sent my baby off to get fixed and hoped that the new addition to my family would arrive earlier (I brought a new baby Mac as well). Well the man at the Apple store had other ideas and arranged for my baby and my new baby (now affectionately known as Harry and Sally) to come back to me on the same day.

I have never been without a computer for a week and a half and sadly it was a great challenge for me. To be home and to not be able to do any work, not log into SL and to try and use an ancient PC of all things to try and Plurk was a nightmare! I am very glad to have them home and they are never allowed to leave again!

When I did finally manage to log into SL, I was shocked at the amount of events , shows and not to mention shopping I missed. The great thing about SL is it is always going at a fast pace and so many things change so quickly. There are some fantastic new models who I can't wait to see in some shows, new designers and new shops! So many things to catch up on and explore. I am trying to boost the SL economy by catching up on a months worth of shopping, really I am!

I did the regular things coming back, caught up with friends, shopped and pulled mine and Mig's house down and put a completely new one up. I had a ball doing it for a day and a half. I love the new house and the gorgeous furniture I purchased for it. I really want to do a separate post about the house so that will be coming up soon. As I just adore it to bits!

I really just wanted to do a super quick post and a super short one at that, and let you know I am back and rearing to go! I will do a post on the new house soon as well as the regular updates about what is going on with the models, fashion industry and shopping of course! Take care.

Australia, Victoria needs your help people!

Victoria has experienced the worst bushfires in Australian history!

I know that I normally write about what is happening on SL, but to me this is important and I am asking you all to take the time and read the below information and help out where you can. I know we are all suffering from charity exhaustion and that there are so many people, animals and places that need help. This is important!

I live in Victoria Australia, and this is just horrific. Country Victoria was already suffering with the worst drought in over a century now a lot of the state has been wiped out from these horrific and devestating bushfires. These people are doing it so hard and have lost everything. Literally whole towns have been wiped off the map. So please, please take the time to read this and help out.

The final death toll of the devastating bushfires could be well above 200, according to reports of government crisis meetings.

With the official toll standing at 126, the fires are already the worst natural disaster to ever befall Australians. 33 people have died in the small town of Kinglake alone.

The Victorian government has been briefed to expect a final death toll close to 230, according to a report in The Australian.

The staggering death toll makes these blazes — some of which are still burning — the greatest natural disaster in Australia's history and authorities warn the number of fatalities is likely to rise even further. "The death toll is still likely to climb unfortunately," Country Fire Authority state duty officer Mark Glover told ABC Television.

A clearly shaken Kevin Rudd has told the Nine Network that if firebugs lit some of the bushfires then they are responsible for "mass murder". Kevin Rudd said "The nation should brace itself for a very challenging time ahead," Kevin Rudd has pledged an immediate relief fund of AU$10m which is fantastic but personally I don't think it is going to scratch the surface.

4000 people are without housing and clothing. 22 towns have been destroyed At least 750 homes have been burnt to the ground. More than 330,000ha burnt out, and authorities say some fires could take weeks to contain. There are massive fires still burning as I write this. Some of the fires are still burning, threatening the Glenhope area north of Melbourne and the towns of Beechworth and Yackandandah in the northeast.

There are two ways you can help out!

The Red Cross has set up an appeal online. They are the most reputable relief agency in the world! 100 % will go to the people in need. Just follow this link to the website...

Redcross Victorian Bushfire Appeal 2009

As at 2:30pm on the 9th February, the Redcross Fund had received $4.9 million from over 28,000 people through the website and phone, with governments including the Victorian Government and Federal Government and corporates pledging additional sums. Donations are still continuing to flow in. So please do you bit and donate some more.

Or you can help out inworld.
Autumn Hykova and Dakota Buck are organizing a fundraiser, and are asking for participants. They have organized a package that you can IM and collect from them. In this package is a donation booth and such and also a split profit script so people can donate a portion of sales. This is a fantastic idea and the money raised will go to helping out the bushfire victims.

So if you are a sim owner, designer - anything, please get in touch with these ladies and let them know what you can do to help and please pick up a package with the donation box! Every little bit does help. Even if you only donate a percentage from your product its better than nothing!

So please, help out where you can. It will make a difference and help out this incredibly in need Aussies. Australia is really hurting at the moment and could do with any help given.
Thanking you in advance.

Ok so the hunt is on.... now!!
I started this today, and have only got a little way through it. There are so many fantastic sims and shops to visit, I got a little distracted. I decided to share this as there are some fantastic gifts up for grabs. This hunt runs from February 6th to February 20th. Head on over to the Starting point and get hunting!

There are 245 vendors participating in this, everything from Eyes to skins to furniture and poses. Plus there is loads of fun stuff to collect.

Please remember that this is supposed to be fun, and help each other out if needed.

To claim your gifts you would need to locate red lips within each of participating stores. Within lips is gift from that store together with LM for your next stop. So what are you waiting for get moving people.

I have included the massive... and I repeat massive list of designers who are participating in the Kissed Grid Wide Hunt.

Here it is!

Oh my goodness what a slack blogger I have been. I am so sorry to everyone or the one person who reads my blog lol. I have had some massive stuff going on in RL and I just have not found the time to blog nearly as much or at all like I have wanted. Its been an amazing time to be involved with the fashion industry on SL. Lots of change and exciting things happening! Here are just a few that I have picked out to tell you about....

JCNY MODEL'FEST Winner for January 2009 is... TEMPERANCE MOONITES! A massive congratulations goes out to this as lovely as she is gorgeous model. I was so thrilled to see such a fantastic model get this amazing prize this month! She truly deserves it, so congratulations Temperance! The stunning Wenadrenia Soderstrom was this months runner up and I am sure we will see her as a months winner very shortly.

So a little while ago you may have noticed this little advertisement going around, I first saw it on Fashion Feed and decided to have a go at applying. I was a little nervous applying, I always am. I don't think there is a person out there who likes rejection and I am always worried I am not up to par with other models on SL. Lets face it, there are some amazing, talented and gorgeous models that grace SL. I logged on one morning to a couple of congratulation messages, and I wasn't quiet sure what I had done lol. The lovely Nezsy told me to check the blog and I did... and there was my name. I was so excited and I am so so looking forward to working with not only this fantastic Agency but awesome pool of models.

GLANCE International Agency, has been very busy of late! The thing I love about GLANCE is they are always doing a show and working hard to make it as dynamic as possible. I have done some of the hardest walks for GLANCE on some of the most intimidating catwalks I have seen on SL. To be honest though, I loved every moment of it. GLANCE has made me a better model and a slightly more confident one and I really want to thank them for that.

GLANCE International Agency is a full service Fashion Public Relations Agency based in Second Life. Offering fashion-related photography and graphic designs, style consulting, fashion shows coordination, fashion designers promotion, model academy and modeling career development. They really do offer it all.

You can check out their blog at...

http://glance-international-agency.blogspot.com/

On January 30th at 6:00pm SLT I did the Nardcotix and Phoenix Rising show with GLANCE. This show was a press preview (VIP) for the massive Elf Fala Lands, Grand Opening!

The Elf Fala Lands Grand Opening was held on January 31st 2009 and you can now go to the SIM and check it out for yourself. Believe me, you will want to the designs are just brilliant! While you are there make sure to check out Kieran Devebec of Chloe's. Oh my goodness the jewellery is to die for! You can see all the details and check out the winners of the photo contest at the website which is...

http://einsteinpcn.wordpress.com/

Anyway back to the show, the models for this amazing GLANCE show were...

Kurvy Rhode
Antuanet Forcella
Haruka Kish
Jennaa Loire
Nezsy Herstein

The best thing about this is you can go to GLANCE TV and check out this awesome VIP fashion show planned by GLANCE International Staff team for Nardcotix & Phoenix Rising. Great job Synthia, this video rocks!
