Ok so the hunt is on.... now!!
I started this today, and have only got a little way through it. There are so many fantastic sims and shops to visit, I got a little distracted. I decided to share this as there are some fantastic gifts up for grabs. This hunt runs from February 6th to February 20th. Head on over to the Starting point and get hunting!

There are 245 vendors participating in this, everything from Eyes to skins to furniture and poses. Plus there is loads of fun stuff to collect.

Please remember that this is supposed to be fun, and help each other out if needed.

To claim your gifts you would need to locate red lips within each of participating stores. Within lips is gift from that store together with LM for your next stop. So what are you waiting for get moving people.

So a little while ago you may have noticed this little advertisement going around, I first saw it on Fashion Feed and decided to have a go at applying. I was a little nervous applying, I always am. I don't think there is a person out there who likes rejection and I am always worried I am not up to par with other models on SL. Lets face it, there are some amazing, talented and gorgeous models that grace SL. I logged on one morning to a couple of congratulation messages, and I wasn't quiet sure what I had done lol. The lovely Nezsy told me to check the blog and I did... and there was my name. I was so excited and I am so so looking forward to working with not only this fantastic Agency but awesome pool of models.

GLANCE International Agency, has been very busy of late! The thing I love about GLANCE is they are always doing a show and working hard to make it as dynamic as possible. I have done some of the hardest walks for GLANCE on some of the most intimidating catwalks I have seen on SL. To be honest though, I loved every moment of it. On January 30th at 6:00pm SLT I did the Nardcotix and Phoenix Rising show with GLANCE. This show was a press preview (VIP) for the massive Elf Fala Lands, Grand Opening!

First off all let me apologize that I have not been doing nearly as much blogging as I had hoped. unfortunately at times real life gets in the way and I apologize. I have to say as well, that of late Second Life has been a pain in the butt.. and just when I had nearly finished something crash, inventory missing or stuck. I really hope Second Life get their butts into gear and sort something out, there are a heap of unhappy campers out here.

So let me tell you about some of the fantastic events that are coming up soon. I am very excited about these and had to share them, yay for you if you have not seen them on other blogs if so.. well bad luck I'm excited, lol.

First off there is the EFA-AIFW2009 show. This is being held at 11.00 AM SLT on the 26th of January 2009. This is one show not to be missed! I have just copied and pasted the following from the EFA blog, ( EFA BLOG )The Ewing Fashion Agency will once again be joining forces with the Amsterdam-based real-world talent managers, The Artist Advice for another Second Life/Real World simultaneous fashion event. During the live fashion show at Beurs van Berlage (Amsterdam - The Netherlands), the Ewing Fashion Agency will host the Second Life version of the show at its Ischia sim location, where EGG Development will reproduce the venue of the show, The Beurs van Berlage.

Building on the success of last years First Fusion show, this year each event will be viewable to the other as they occur. The Real World creations of Real World designers Jennifer Delano, Melanie Brown and Eleonore de Ruuk are being recreated for the Second Life production by a talented lineup of Second Life designers: Digit Darkes, Neferia Abel, Sascha Frangilli, Simone Stern, Sysy Chapman and Zaara Kohime.

In acknowledgement of significance of these innovative collaborations, Runway Magazine and DX Exchange have signed on as corporate sponsors for the event. Beside the fashion show, also the DJ will be presented in both world, Damien Simons will be on stage in the Beurs van Berlage and at Ischia during the show.

Do not forget either that this awesome show will lead to a special addition of the RUNWAY magazine about the Amsterdam International Fashion Week 2009. This special edition will contain a lot of inside information and exclusive interviews from the RL- and the SL-parts of this event. So make sure you get your copy and read all about it.

OK, the next event I want to tell you about, is the Vanity Universe Skin Fair 2009. Now I am giving you plenty of warning about this event so you can save up. I have already started putting money into my sock drawer to save up for this baby! The Skin Fair is running from March 1st to March 31st 2009 and will be held at the Vanity Universe Sim.

You may have been to other fairs held at the Sim such as the formal wear or beachwear and lingerie fair, so you can tell there is going to be a wide variety and I am sure some new and divine creations displayed. At the 2008 skin fair there was More than 65 Second Life skin designers presented their existing and new products to those visiting the fair. So again you can tell this years is going to be incredible! You can check out the Vanity Universe blog for more details as they come to hand at the link below. I am sure I will see you there!

Last but defiantly not least is the Elf Fala Lands, Grand Opening! This is being held on January 31st 2009. This show promises to be a contemporary, playful and artistic event.

This event is for the Grand Opening of a new fashion Sim, Elf Fala Lands. In celebration of the new Sim there will be a runway show starting at 12:00 p.m. SLT. This show will be featuring three designers, Nardcotix, Phoenix Rising and Chloe. Also LIONSSKINS will be presenting their range of limited edition Noir Skins. Which if the above picture is anything to go by, will be gorgeous! You can check out some of their sneak peeks and designs at their website found here.

I went and did this today and loved it! So I had to do a blog post all about it... and tell you to get your bums off to do it. It's fantastic and the prizes are just awesome. This fantastic idea runs till the 18th of January 2009. So make sure you do it before it finishes.

So it's been a while since I have written a week summary for a while, so again I apologize but I am sure you are all used to it by now. It's been an amazing time for me and I had a fantastic holiday season. So now it's a matter of getting back into the swing of things and making 2009 an awesome year for me on Second Life.

So far this year it's been insane and I have to say I am putting it down to experience. I attended the EWING casting call for the EFA-AIFW2009 on the 4th of January. I have to say it was the worst walk I have ever done. I am not putting myself down on purpose... but geez did I blow. My HUDDLES died and luckily I had some emergency poses in the corner of my screen. It was not only this but I didn't hit any of the marks as far as I could tell and I just thought I stunk.

I really look at situations and castings like that as experience. Every single one I do is a learning curve and I think even the top models of Second Life learn something new every time they walk. I love walking on the runway and hopefully will get the chance to walk more with shows and castings. It's just a matter of practice, practice, practice and keep learning. We can all wear the prettiest outfits and look good, but when you can walk well.. you can walk well! I really have learnt a lot of recent times about castings and how they work. It is really nerve racking to put yourself out there like that. When you do well though and it shows there is no better feeling.

EFA: AIFW2009 Model Casting Call Photos!

EWING CASTING:
Last weekend the RL-audition for models for the EFA-AIFW2009 show took place in Amsterdam.


The Artist Advice: “For this show we need 30 models. We’re looking for tall and skinny models. The normal 1.75 - 1.80 length and sizes close to 90-60-90. We took basic pictures of the models and now we are waiting for the designers to decide which ones they like to see at the catwalk. This week the decision will be made!”

Also EFA will start to create the model team. Our team, led by top-model Rena Mascot, will consist of 8 models with more or less the same look as the RL models. Are you interested in walking on the runway during the EFA-AIFW2009 show and do you have extensive runway experience? Please read on and follow the instructions.

So at this point in time it's a wait and see, for an announcement to who the models selected are. All I can say is to the 8 who do get it, congratulations as you truly deserve it! I wish you all the best of luck!

So if you had looked at any of my earlier posts, you would have seen I was selected to try out for the BeStyle Calender. I didn't make the cut, but had a great time trying! I also got some gorgeous outfits which is always a nice bonus! All the girls were amazing and all the contestants who were selected for a month deserved it. I can't wait to see the final product as I am sure the photographers, models and whole team will do a fantastic job!

One of my outfits that I was given to wear for the casting was a dress from OC Creations. OC Creations made it for a BeStyle Calendar selection... you can have it too now! You can choose it in a heap of colours (burgundy, dark green, topaz and blue), only the purple is in the mainstore at the moment.

So I admit it, yes loud and proud. I am a shopaholic and before you say it YES I really do need that other pair of shoes, and YES I do need that top in a different color and and....!!
